Pharmacological effect: Isordil is a drug which eases the blood vessels. It helps blood to flow easier. Isordil also works for the heart to pump better. This medication takes part of a class known as nitrates.

Usage: Isordil is used in therapy of angina. Angina attacks are a chest pain. These tablets are not used to reduce angina attacks that already had begun. Isordil prevents angina but doesn’t treat angina attacks. 

Aftereffect: Using Isordil you may encounter different adverse effects. Call the doctor and stop using the drug if you have: dark urine, fever, headache, pallid skin, bluish lips, unusual weakness, bleeding, irregular heartbeat and pain of different parts of the body.

How to administer (optionally): The start dosage of Isordil is 5mg 3 times a day. The maintenance dose is 10mg 2 or 3 times a day. Swallow with a glass of water regardless of food.
