Pharmacological effect: Desyrel is an antidepressant. This drug affects the activity of serotonin.

Usage: Desyrel is used in therapy of depression. It grows the energy level, appetite and mood. The medication decreases insomnia and anxiety.

Aftereffect: During administration of Desyrel you may encounter different reactions. More normal effects: dull vision, giddiness, sensitivity to light, sweating, weakness and confusion. Abnormal effects are: small concentration, burning, fainting, feeling discomfort, headache, problems with coordination, nose in ears, muscle shakiness, troubles with breath, fast or slow heartbeat, swelling, nervousness, skin irritations and unusual excitement.

How to administer (optionally): The start dose is 50mg once a day. Every 3-4 days the dose may be increased by 50mg/day. Take the pill before bedtime.
