Pharmacological effect: Anafranil is an antidepressant. This product contains clomipramine hydrochloride. It balances serotonin in the brain.

Usage: Anafranil is used in treatment of different psychological disorders. This product treats obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). It also reduces the persistent or unwanted thoughts and it inhibits the desire to make repeated duties.

Aftereffect: During the treatment with Anafranil you may have different reactions. More normal: cyst ache, dull vision, bloody and dark urine, body pain, confusion, painful urination, nervousness, fear, depression, fever, irritability, side pain, muscle problems, hearing troubles and difficulties in breathing. Urgent call emergency if you have the following effects: chills, anger, breast enlargement, shaking, swelling, painful sexual functions, paranoia, irregular heartbeat and panic attacks.

How to administer (optionally): Swallow the Anafranil with a glass of water. The recommended dosage for adults in depression treatment is 10-25mg daily, for OCD also 10-25mg per day. The medicine can be taken one before bedtime or may be divided in small doses and used during the day. Anafranil SR 75mg can be used after your doctor will increase the dosage.
